PS Prices Hub
PS Prices Hub ("the extension") is a browser extension that compares PlayStation Store game and PlayStation Plus prices across regions and converts them to a single currency.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. Nothing you do in the extension is sent to us or to any third party we control - because we operate no server that receives your data.
What the extension accesses
To do its job the extension makes network requests from your browser:
- store.playstation.com and www.playstation.com - the extension loads the same product and PlayStation Plus pages you are viewing, for the regions you enabled, to read the publicly displayed prices and currency. These are the same public pages anyone can open in a browser; no login, cookies, or account information are used (requests are made without credentials).
- open.er-api.com - a free public exchange-rate API, used to convert prices into your chosen base currency. Only currency codes are involved; no personal or identifying information is sent.
- pspriceshub.com - our own website. The extension periodically fetches the public games catalog list and the title of the latest blog post (cached for 24 hours) to show a link to that game's page and the latest blog post in the panel. This is a plain read of public JSON from our own site; no data about you is sent.
The extension does not read, collect, or transmit your PlayStation account, payment details, browsing history, or any other personal information.
What the extension stores
All data is stored locally in your browser using the standard extension storage APIs and never leaves your device except through Chrome's own optional settings-sync (tied to your Google account, under Google's control):
- chrome.storage.sync - your settings: base currency, the list of regions to compare, and the "game art background" preference.
- chrome.storage.local - a cache of exchange rates (refreshed every 12 hours), a cache of the games catalog and latest blog post from pspriceshub.com (refreshed every 24 hours), and panel UI state (whether the panel is hidden/collapsed and its on-screen position).
You can clear this data at any time by removing the extension.
Permissions
- storage - to save your settings and cache exchange rates (above).
- Host access to store.playstation.com, www.playstation.com, open.er-api.com, pspriceshub.com - to read regional prices, fetch exchange rates, and load contextual links to the site, as described above.
The extension contains no remote code: all logic is bundled and reviewed as part of the package.
Cookies, analytics, and ads on this website
Everything above in this policy is about the extension itself, which uses none of the below. This section is about pspriceshub.com, the website you're reading this on right now, which you could in theory visit without ever installing the extension.
- Analytics (PostHog) - collects anonymized visit statistics (page views, clicks) to understand which pages are useful. Runs on every visit to the site.
- Advertising (Google AdSense) - shows ad units on some pages of the site. Only non-personalized ads are shown right now.
- Google Ads (conversion tag) - used to measure the site's own ad campaign performance, running in the same non-personalized mode.
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information - contact us at the address below.
