Why do PlayStation Store prices differ by region at all?

Sony sets prices separately for each regional store, tying them to local currency and purchasing power. Because of exchange-rate swings and differing pricing policies, the same game or PS Plus subscription can be noticeably cheaper in one region and more expensive in another.

Is PS Prices Hub free?

Yes, the extension is completely free, with no subscriptions or hidden fees.

Do I need a PlayStation or Sony account to use the extension?

No. The extension doesn't ask you to sign in and never accesses your PlayStation account data - it simply reads the publicly displayed prices from store.playstation.com pages for the regions you've enabled.

Does the extension collect data or track me?

No. There's no analytics or tracking: everything is calculated locally in your browser, and your settings are stored only on your device (and through Chrome's own sync, if you have that enabled).

How many regions can I compare prices across?

The extension compares prices across roughly 16 PlayStation Store regions at once and highlights the cheapest option in your currency.

Will the extension change my PlayStation account's price or region?

No. PS Prices Hub only shows prices for comparison - it doesn't switch your account's region or make purchases for you. To actually buy in another region, you'd still need to change your account's store region yourself.
