Back to the Dawn price in Japan

How this compares to Japan's usual pricing

Across the 569 games we track in both stores, Japan runs about 16% under the US price.

Back to the Dawn sits close to that norm at 11% below the US price, so Japan behaves here much as it does across the catalog.

Japan comes out cheapest for 86 of the 728 games we price.

Is Japan the right store for Back to the Dawn?

Not for this game. Ukraine lists it at $23.25, $7.99 less than Japan, so if you're setting an account up specifically for this title that's the storefront to pick.

Worth weighing against the effort: a second PSN account is a separate library, separate trophies and a separate payment method, and the saving here is $3.75.

Buying on the Japanese store

Prices are only half of it. The Japanese store expects a payment method valid in Japan, and an account's region is fixed when the account is created - you can't switch an existing one over. Both are covered in detail here:

• how to create a PSN account in another region
