When people talk about cheap PlayStation Store regions, Turkey and Argentina usually get most of the attention. Ukraine is mentioned far less often — but our data shows that it is the region that comes out cheapest most consistently across the games we track.

Ukraine is currently the cheapest region for 234 of the 661 games in our catalog — more than India, Turkey, or any other storefront we monitor. On average, other regions are about 17% more expensive.

That consistency is what makes Ukraine interesting. Some regions can have occasional price drops or standout deals, but Ukraine keeps appearing at the top across a much wider range of games.

How Ukraine compares to other PSN regions

Looking at Ukraine alongside the usual PlayStation Store price contenders shows that its lead is not just the result of a few unusual examples.

The ranking below updates automatically as our price data refreshes, so it reflects the current catalog rather than a one-time snapshot:

🇺🇦 Ukraine 234 games avg +17%
🇮🇳 India 173 games avg +23%
🇯🇵 Japan 82 games avg +37%
🇺🇸 United States 68 games avg +58%
🇹🇷 Turkey 55 games avg +30%

Ukraine comes out cheapest about 1x as often as India, the second-place region.

The gap is also consistent when Ukraine doesn’t take first place. Other regions are only about 17% more expensive on average in those cases, which is the smallest difference among the regions in this ranking.

India tells a different story: it wins less frequently, and when it doesn’t win, the average difference grows to 23%.

The difference is simple: some regions occasionally have great prices, while Ukraine is one of the most reliable cheap PSN regions overall.

Why Ukraine has such low PS Store prices

The reason is closer to Turkey’s situation than India’s.

The Ukrainian hryvnia has moved significantly against the US dollar over time, while PlayStation Store regional pricing does not update every time exchange rates change. Sony adjusts storefront prices through occasional updates rather than continuous automatic changes.

That creates a window where the real currency value and the listed PS Store price move out of sync. Until Sony updates local pricing, games in the Ukrainian PlayStation Store can remain noticeably cheaper than in other regions.

This is different from regions like India, where lower prices are more closely tied to long-term regional purchasing power strategies rather than a currency moving away from an older price point.

The important part: this advantage is real, but it is not permanent. A future Sony price adjustment can reduce the gap quickly — the same pattern we have already seen with Turkey in our Turkey PSN region breakdown. Where the PS Store price difference is the biggest

The size of the discount depends heavily on the game itself. Forza Horizon 5 is one of the clearest examples — when you compare the same title across regions, Ukraine is not just slightly cheaper, it is in a completely different price range:

🇺🇦 Ukraine $13.39
🇹🇷 Turkey $16.20
🇭🇰 Hong Kong $19.00
🇮🇳 India $20.96
🇺🇸 United States $29.99
HELLDIVERS™ 2 Hogwarts Legacy

HELLDIVERS 2 and Hogwarts Legacy show the same pattern. Both games are roughly 33% cheaper in Ukraine compared with the US PlayStation Store price.

That is a smaller difference than Forza Horizon 5’s 55% gap, but it is still a meaningful saving — the kind of difference worth checking before buying a game, not just a small rounding difference.

REMATCH DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2

REMATCH and DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 add two more examples: around 41% and 28% cheaper in Ukraine respectively.

Different genres, different publishers, and different release histories — but the same currency-driven pricing effect appears again.

When the difference is small, check the individual game

The cheapest PSN region is not universal — always check the specific game, not just the region’s reputation.
Grand Theft Auto VI

Not every game follows the same pattern.

Grand Theft Auto VI is a good example of where expectations can be misleading. The game is still new enough that regional pricing has not had much time to drift apart. In Ukraine, it is only around 4% cheaper than the US price — nowhere near the typical discount you might expect from the region.

We saw a similar situation with Turkey in our GTA VI regional price comparison. New major releases are usually launched with prices much closer to global parity, and the larger regional gaps appear later.

The broader lesson is simple: recently released or recently repriced games are exceptions that should be checked individually, not examples where you can rely on a region’s reputation.

Is switching to the Ukraine PSN region worth it?

A 30–55% discount sounds great, but there are practical details to consider before switching regions.

The same rules apply here as with any PSN region change:

your payment method needs to work with the Ukrainian PlayStation Store; subscriptions like PS Plus remain tied to the account region where they were purchased; pre-orders and other account-based purchases depend on the active region at the time of purchase.

None of these limitations are unique to Ukraine. They are simply part of using any regional PlayStation Store pricing advantage.

The best approach is to understand the trade-offs first, then decide whether the potential savings are worth the extra setup.

Compare PSN regions without doing the math yourself

PS Prices Hub shows Ukraine prices alongside every other supported PlayStation Store region directly on each game’s page.

Instead of manually checking exchange rates or opening multiple storefronts, you can quickly see whether Ukraine is actually the cheapest PSN region for a specific game right now.

You can browse our full games catalog to see current regional rankings, or use our PSN price comparison tool to compare storefronts side by side.

The bigger picture: Ukraine as a PSN pricing anomaly

Ukraine’s overall lead is the headline result, but it is still an average across all 661 games we track — not a guarantee that every single game will be cheapest there.

The same rule applies to every regional pricing guide: a region’s reputation is a useful starting point, but the actual game price is what matters.

For comparison, we covered why India is often one of the cheapest PSN regions in our guide to India PSN pricing.
